Learn Mode: connect each note on the staff to the right key.
Custom Game Mode: set the speed, note range, clef and more.
Ranked Mode: climb from Beginner to Intermediate, Maestro and Virtuoso, and earn a place on the global leaderboard.
Play your way: answer on the touch screen, a computer keyboard, or a real MIDI keyboard.

For teachers and schools

With a teacher or school subscription, you invite your students, and your dashboard shows how each one is doing: practice time, accuracy, and which notes they know and which still need work. You don't have to dig for it.

Free to play

StaffRunner is free to play, with no ads. A subscription unlocks the full game, and the in-game store has extra characters and level backgrounds.

Our mission

StaffRunner is our passion project to make music education more accessible. Whether you're a seasoned musician or just starting out, everyone deserves a fun way to learn the language of music.

The creators

Creator James Daly and lead developer Jesse Bonaventura are classical pianists with music degrees and years of performing and teaching. They first made StaffRunner for their own students. Now it's available to music lovers everywhere.
